REPORT OF THE EVENT : OPA BLACK SCORPIONS OP INTERCOY 2025 RUGBY 10s

The OPA Black Scorpions OP Intercoy 2025 Rugby 10s Tournament was successfully held on 8 November 2025 at Padang Ragbi UPNM, Sungai Besi. The event showcased exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive spirit among participating Old Putera (OP) rugby players.
The usual teams, comprising players from Alpha to Hotel Company, competed in this year’s tournament, involving approximately 180 players. Most companies fielded their Under-34 (U34) players throughout the matches, complemented by a group of veteran players aged 35 and above. In total, around 30 veteran players participated, with the remaining players aged 34 and below.
As with last year’s inaugural edition, the tournament adopted a round-robin format, ensuring balanced matchups and a fair assessment of team performance. Upon completion of all fixtures, the final standings were:
Foxtrot – 7 wins, 0 losses
Bravo – 6 wins, 1 loss
Alpha – 4 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses
Charlie – 3 wins, 1 draw, 3 losses
Golf – 2 wins, 1 draw, 4 losses
Delta – 2 wins, 1 draw, 4 losses
Echo – 1 win, 6 losses
Hotel – 1 win, 6 losses
The 2025 championship title was secured by Foxtrot Company, marking a change of leadership from Alpha Company, who claimed the title in last year’s inaugural tournament.
Significant improvements were recorded in the organisation of the event this year. Notably, the committee collaborated with Ragbi Online to provide comprehensive live-streaming coverage of all matches, enhancing visibility and engagement for supporters who were unable to attend in person.
The organizing committee remains committed to further elevating the quality of this annual tournament and looks forward to continued support and collaboration from OPA in future editions.
