History was made at the inaugural OPA Pickleball Day, powered by the energy and passion of our OP Pickleballers!
More than 100 OPs and family members gathered at Pickleball Playground, Shah Alam, filling the courts with plenty of Budak Boy spirit.
The day featured both social play and competitive matches across divisions. In the inter-company category, Alpha Company emerged champions, lifting the OP Habibur Cup as the first ever holders of this rolling trophy.
In the Men’s Doubles, B Coy’s OP Mizal Zaini and OP Faisal Ismail (B84–88) claimed victory over A Coy’s OP Mirnawan Nawawi and OP Noorhisyam Salleh in a thrilling final. The Mixed Doubles Division was won by F Coy’s OP Hamzarul and his wife, Jiminiah Boola — a proud showcase of OP family spirit on court.
For Social Play, OPs and their families enjoyed fun rallies and friendly games, with many newcomers discovering the excitement of pickleball for the first time.
True to OP tradition, the camaraderie continued off the courts with lunch and an abundance of lucky draw prizes for everyone. With such a fantastic start, OPA Pickleball Day is set to become an annual highlight — blending sport, family, and brotherhood.
